I came across Milla’s post on LinkedIn and clicked through to her profile out of curiosity. I follow motorsport closely, so a young Swedish driver with serious ambitions naturally caught my interest. The personal branding motorsport potential was clearly there. A more polished digital presence could open doors at the level she was aiming for.
What struck me beyond the racing results was her drive and focus. The kind of clarity about where you are heading that I wish I had possessed at her age. So I reached out, and a full personal branding project took shape.
About Milla Sjöstrand
Milla Sjöstrand is a racing driver from Sweden who has been competing for over ten years. Since she started karting at seven, she has built a serious career toward single-seater racing.
In 2025, she completed her first F4 season with STEP Motorsport in Denmark, scoring points and finishing in the top 10. She has furthermore been selected three times by the FIA Girls on Track program. She is also represented internationally by Minardi Management.
Her goal is specific and unwavering: to reach Formula 1 as a driver who represents change, precision and courage. A sport that has historically had very little space for women.
Complete Branding for a Motorsport Athlete
From our very first meeting, it became clear that Milla needed more than a new design. She needed a complete brand ecosystem, built around one primary purpose: attracting the right sponsors.
I took full initiative on the scope and shaped the project from the ground up:
- Logo and complete visual identity
- Website designed and built from scratch, aimed at sponsorship audiences
- Technical setup and all integrations
- Sponsorship presentation designed as a PDF
- Racing CV with custom design
Every deliverable follows the same visual language throughout. As a result, every touchpoint a potential partner encounters feels coherent and considered.
This was a sponsorship project, meaning I chose to invest my skills and time because I genuinely believed in Milla and her mission. Formula 1 has spoken to me on a professional level for years, because it is a sport where branding, precision and design are not decorative choices but functional ones. Every component needs to be right, every detail contributes to the outcome, and that understanding shaped several of the creative decisions along the way.

Personal branding for motorsport: the process
Once we had established the visual identity together, I gave myself full creative space and worked independently. Rather than presenting ideas in stages, I brought a finished perspective to the table and let the work speak for itself.
I have developed an ability to read what a client needs beyond what they say in the room. I pick up on the tone, the ambition and the unspoken expectations in a conversation, and I let those signals guide the creative direction. Most clients do not know what is visually possible at the highest level, and that is precisely where I take initiative and raise the bar.
In this case, that intuition proved itself completely. When I presented the finished design, only minor details needed adjusting and the overall direction was approved without hesitation.
The site is built around what matters most to a sponsorship audience. The hero section leads with immediate visual authority. Key figures such as 10 years racing, 3x FIA selected and top 10 F4 appear early as proof points a decision-maker needs. The partners section furthermore signals that she already attracts serious names, which positions her as a credible prospect rather than simply an ambition.

Web Design for Athletes: The Final Brand System
The finished result presents Milla as the serious international athlete she is. It is a personal branding motorsport system where every element works together, from the logo to the PDF presentation, as part of one unified brand.
The design balances the speed and energy of motorsport with a clean, sponsor-focused structure. It communicates trust and precision in equal measure, and gives potential partners exactly what they need to say yes.
“The process was fantastic, with great communication and engagement throughout. What I am most happy with is how everything comes together as a whole. Erika is brilliant and does a fantastic job.”

Why This Project Matters
Some projects remind me of exactly why I do this work, and this was one of them. When strategy, design and genuine understanding of the subject come together, the result is more than a deliverable. It becomes a platform for someone’s professional ambition.
Working with Milla and John was a pleasure from the very first conversation. I am genuinely looking forward to following where her journey leads from here.
