A logo with spiritual symbolism for Själsro

Creating a logo with spiritual symbolism for Själsro became a warm and meaningful assignment. When Ulrika reached out to ask if I would help her update her logo, I immediately sensed that this would be something special.

We had met previously through yoga contexts at Sat Nam Atma Yoga, and it felt both natural and honouring to collaborate in a creative process rooted in trust, presence and shared values.

This marked the beginning of a design journey where symbolism, intention and aesthetics were given space to truly unfold.

About the client

Själsro, a Swedish word that can be translated as inner peace or peace of mind, is a spiritual shop and platform based in Trollhättan. The offering includes products and services for personal development and inner harmony.

The range spans crystals, incense, tarot cards, books and jewellery, alongside courses, healing sessions and spiritual guidance. Ulrika has created Själsro as a safe and grounded space where people can find support on their spiritual path and tools for living more in alignment with themselves.

A logo for spiritual presence

At the very beginning of the project, Ulrika was clear about her vision. She wanted a dragonfly to be the central symbol of the logo. The dragonfly carries strong spiritual meaning and is often associated with transformation, clarity and inner growth.

My role was to translate this wish into a visual form that feels as authentic as it is beautiful. A logo with spiritual symbolism needs to do more than represent a business. It must also communicate the feeling and intention behind it.

The process behind a symbolic logo design

We began by exploring what the dragonfly represents for Ulrika and for Själsro. In many traditions, the dragonfly symbolises inner transformation, change and the ability to see beyond illusion. It represents both delicacy and strength, qualities that resonate deeply with Ulrika’s work.

I developed several sketch concepts with different visual expressions and typographic approaches. Through ongoing dialogue, reflection and refinement, the logo gradually took shape. Each adjustment brought us closer to an expression that felt balanced and true.

To support a cohesive visual identity, we also selected a colour palette that enhances the calm and harmony Själsro embodies. The final delivery included a primary logo, a standalone symbol and a carefully chosen colour scheme. I also created a cover image for Ulrika’s Facebook group, extending the brand experience into her digital community.

A logo with depth and presence

The finished logo for Själsro carries both emotion and meaning. The dragonfly stands as a powerful symbol of transformation, while typography and colour choices create a visual identity that feels calm, clear and grounded.

It is a logo with spiritual symbolism that aligns closely with Ulrika’s values and the purpose that Själsro is built upon.

“Erika is amazing at shaping exactly the outcome I want as a business owner. She listens deeply and continues refining until everything feels just right. She has my warmest recommendation.”

When symbolism is allowed to lead

Working with a logo rooted in strong symbolism is always deeply meaningful. The dragonfly is more than a visual form. It holds a story.

For me, design is about communicating something beyond the visual. It is about feeling, intention and the energy behind the brand. This project was a reminder of why I love what I do. When form, function and soul are allowed to work together, something truly special emerges.
