Creating a logo and website for a construction company is rarely a single delivery. It is about laying the foundation for a brand that can grow over time. When Fredrik and Micaela first contacted me, the logo was the starting point. The collaboration soon developed into a broader process where the full visual identity took shape.
Later on, I was also entrusted with designing their website, allowing strategy, aesthetics and functionality to come together in a clear and cohesive brand expression.
A construction company rooted in craftsmanship
Fristorps Byggservice AB is a family owned construction company based in Västra Tunhem just outside Trollhättan. The company offers full project delivery and supports both private clients and businesses. With everything from carpentry work to complete construction solutions.
With strong roots in craftsmanship. And a clear commitment to quality and reliability, Fristorps Byggservice has quickly become a trusted name across western Sweden.
The brief: A logo built with intention and form
From the outset, they wanted a professional company logo for a carpentry and construction business. A logo that clearly belonged to the industry without relying on classic symbols like hammers or nails. They shared their own thoughts and a simple sketch, which gave me a strong sense of direction early on.
I began sketching immediately. The idea emerged to use the letter F from Fristorps as the core element, shaping it to resemble a carpenter’s square. By working with precise angles of 45 and 90 degrees, I built symbolism around craftsmanship and precision. Subtle forms referencing roofs and wooden boards were integrated to strengthen the construction feel.
The result was a logo design for craftsmen that feels stable, distinctive and professional.
Typography became the next key piece. We explored several options before landing on a type combination that felt both robust and modern, a balance that matched the company’s tone perfectly.

A graphic profile for construction companies across all channels
To place the logo in a strong context, I developed a simple yet well considered graphic profile for the construction company. This included a colour palette, typography, icon, submark and a moodboard to guide future communication.
This created a cohesive foundation for everything from vehicle decals and business cards to workwear. The logo was also adapted into a special version including the company’s phone number, designed specifically for the company vehicle. This practical application has since become a visible part of their brand presence on the road.
A website that brings the identity online
Around a year and a half after completing the logo and visual profile, Fredrik and Micaela returned for the next step. They needed a simple website for a construction company that could present their services clearly, showcase customer testimonials and bring structure to their offering.
I built the website in WordPress with a focus on clarity and easy navigation. The site introduces the company, outlines their construction services, highlights previous projects and includes a contact form that makes it easy to request a quote.
Everything is designed using the established brand identity. Colours, typography and visual elements reflect the logo to create recognition and consistency across all touchpoints.

From symbolism to visibility
The final result is a clear logo for building services, a cohesive visual identity for the construction industry and a website that works in practice. Every part connects to form a unified brand experience, from first impression to final click.
Today, the logo is actively used on clothing, vehicles, printed materials and digital channels. The website serves as the company’s digital hub and makes it easy for new clients to get in touch.
Reflection
What has been especially rewarding in this collaboration is the opportunity to build step by step. From an initial sketch to a complete visual and digital presence. I truly value long term collaborations where a brand is allowed to grow over time.
Supporting craft based businesses that care deeply about quality, both in their work and in their communication, is something I find particularly meaningful.
